The US Federal Reserve in its monetary policy meeting yesterday, decided to lower the federal funds' rate by another 50 basis points (0.5%) to 3%, just a week after it had lowered the rate by 0.75%. As such, within a matter of few days, the Fed funds rate has come down by 1.25%, from 4.25% to 3% now.
